Despite the decline in overall global remittances during the 2020 Covid pandemic, Global mobile recharge supplier Ding have conducted in-depth analysis showing how migrants from across the world are sending value home in other forms, such as mobile top-up (‘mobile remittance’) which has seen a surge in international demand over the past six months.

The impact of COVID-19 on global remittance has seen Ding growth stats increase dramatically in in the past six months with 350k monthly active users, up 52% YoY with double and triple-digit growth across Africa, Asia, Oceania, South America and Central America.
